Compare the PRX Something Gaming Mousepad and ES eSports Mousepad XL side by side. Learn which XL pad suits your sensitivity, play style, and competitive needs.

Quick answer

If you play with high sensitivity and need precise micro-adjustments, the PRX Something Gaming Mousepad is your match. For low-sensitivity players who need wide sweeps and a consistent glide, the ES eSports Mousepad XL offers the space and stability you need.

Why sensitivity matters in pad choice

Your mouse sensitivity directly affects how much desk space you need. High-sensitivity players (like PRX Something) rely on small, fast wrist movements—so a pad that supports precision without extra friction is key. Low-sensitivity players use their whole arm, so a larger surface with consistent glide helps avoid lifting and repositioning.

Size and thickness differences

The PRX Something pad is designed specifically for a high-sensitivity pro, so its dimensions prioritize precision over raw area. The ES eSports Mousepad XL, as its name suggests, offers a generous extra-large surface that gives low-sensitivity players room for sweeping movements. Both are 3.5mm thick, balancing cushioning with stability, but the XL size of the ES model is the standout difference for wide motions.

Trade-offs at a glance

PRX Something Pad: Designed for high-sensitivity players. Prioritizes precision and fast micro-adjustments over sheer surface area.
ES eSports Mousepad XL: Built for low-sensitivity players. Extra-large surface supports wide arm sweeps, but may feel too large for high-sensitivity use.
Thickness: Both pads are 3.5mm thick, offering a consistent balance of cushioning and stability for any play style. Thickness isn't a deciding factor here—both are identical in this spec.
